
PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM- 1344 hrs-Residential
The Practical Nursing program includes both classroom instruction and clinical practice totaling 1344 clock hours. This will help you function effectively in acute, long-term and ambulatory settings and provide you with a collaborative learning environment that will help you apply principles of reasoning through critical thinking. You will become a valuable member of a health care team in various employment settings that include nursing homes, hospitals, physicians’ offices, corporate occupational health programs and public school systems. The PN also provides bedside care to patients, works under the direction of physicians and registered nurses (RNs) and provides nursing care that requires technical knowledge and skill. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2012-13 Edition, employment in practical nursing is expected to increase 22% from 2010 to 2020.

Entry Requirements:

Official English translated high school transcript and/or GED. Copies of diplomas will not be accepted.

In addition applicant must pass our entrance examination in both verbal and quantitative assessment. Required scores of 125 or better.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Interested applicants must submit their application online or in person and pay a (NON-REFUNDABLE) Application Fee: ($100.00 and Entrance exam: $50.00)

Applicant must make provision to take the entrance examination and achieve a GED level 1 passing score on both quantitative and verbal assessment. ALL APPLICANTS MUST COME WITH A PICTURE ID AND SSN CARD.

Applicant must furnish the school with the following documents after successfully passing the entrance exams: High School/GED Transcript, Valid CPR, two(2) letters of recommendation, drug test, criminal background check, Health Records : PPD/chest X-ray result, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP, Flu Vaccination or Declination
